Chengdu International Airport City Master Plan
Cityfi supported the development of the Chengdu International Airport City Master Plan, which aimed to create a 2,500 acre-large mixed-use hub in one of China’s premier cities that prioritized the environment, high quality of life and economic growth. The development transformed agricultural land into numerous districts (commercial, residential, industrial, mixed-use), and integrated multimodal transportation and green infrastructure to attract residents and visitors from all over the world.
Method
Cityfi supported SOM in advising on integrating smart city concepts into the general plan and urban design guidelines to optimize the opportunities for technologies to enhance data-driven urban planning, active and shared transportation, enhanced government service delivery, city infrastructure, and environmentally sustainable economic development. Cityfi delivered client presentations, design workshops and written recommendations on developing smart city policy frameworks and technology approaches.
