Fluent in both Spanish and English, Caro aids in the inclusion of diverse voices in public engagements where critical policies are being considered. Caro’s background in human-centered design thinking and attention to detail make Cityfi-led workshops enticing.
Before CityFi, Carolina was part of the Strategic Planning team of the Brooklyn Public Library; one of the largest public library systems in the United States. GET TO KNOW CAROLINA
What originally drew you to cities?
Being in the midst of the wide spectrum of people and cultures that permeate the fabric of city life is my happy place. Having a variety of options of things to do, places to eat, and unique areas to visit are all part of the allure of city life for me. I enjoy the energy and vibe of city living, and am awed by their role as laboratories for innovation.
What does a livable city mean to you?
A livable city enables its citizens to experience their daily lives without encumbrances on time, health, affordability, safety, and equity.
What gets you up in the morning?
I am motivated to share my contribution towards making the world a better place than it was the day before. This takes the form of simple daily micro-level wins like making someone smile as well as working towards macro-wins with the constant chipping away at big-picture issues which will benefit generations to come.
